Located on beautiful South Bass Island, the Village of Put in Bay is a vacation destination to over 750,000 tourists each year. Visitors gravitate to the island annually to enjoy the splendor of the natural harbor, fish the abundant waters of Lake Erie, participate in geological explorations, discover a large variety of migratory and native species unique to the area, learn about the historical significance of Put-in-Bay, and enjoy all the tourist attractions found throughout South Bass Island.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of other attractions, including a winery, butterfly house, playgrounds, miniature golf, historical homes, chocolate museum, wildlife museum, antique carousel, a nine hole golf course, jet-ski rentals, parasailing, kayaking, and a convention center.
The Put-in-Bay Planning Commission meets the second Tuesday of every month in the Village of Put-in-Bay Town Hall at 11:30 am.
The Village of Put-in-Bay Mayor’s Court hears most criminal and traffic misdemeanor offenses that occur in the jurisdiction of the Village of Put-in-Bay.
Donations can be made to the Village of Put-in-Bay in Craig Cox's name for the PIB Police Foundation Fund.
The police department includes a dispatch department, which dispatches for the various emergency services of Put-in-Bay, including the Put-in-Bay Police, Fire and EMS.
The board consists of 7 village residents. Meetings are scheduled for the first and second Tuesday of each month at 9 am at the Village Town Hall.
In the heart of our beautiful downtown area, recreational boaters will find themselves just steps from Put-in-Bay’s exhilarating island life.
Put-in-Bay Village Utilities Department is located at 157 Concord Avenue. Village utilities include water and wastewater management.
The Put-in-Bay Police Department is located in the Basement Level of the Clock Tower Town Hall Building at 431 Catawba Avenue.
